Warranty & service
Every Pizza BARLANG product is covered by mandatory warranty, complemented by the rights of conformity (kellékszavatosság) and product liability (termékszavatosság) under the Hungarian Civil Code (Ptk.). This page summarises what the warranty covers, how to enforce it, and how service works.
1. Warranty periods
Warranty duration differs by product, also differentiated by buyer type. Warranty starts on the day of receipt.

The legal basis is Hungarian Government Decree 151/2003. (IX. 22.) and the relevant provisions of the Hungarian Civil Code (Ptk.). Warranty is enforced with the invoice and warranty card issued on the day of receipt — both are included in the package.
2. What does the warranty cover?
- Failure caused by material defect.
- Manufacturing defect.
- Functional failure during normal use (e.g. heating element failure, control system fault, motor operating issue).
- Defects in components essential to the product's function (e.g. thermostat, control panel, fan).
3. What is NOT covered?
- Failures caused by improper use (e.g. higher-than-household load, improper power supply).
- Physical damage (impact, fall, liquid spill, foreign object ingress).
- Faults caused by modification, assembly or repair not performed by the Service Provider or an authorised service.
- Normal wear and tear (e.g. discolouration of refractory stone, natural wear of seals).
- Failures caused by ignoring the user manual.
- Failures caused by force majeure (lightning, fire, water).
4. Filing a warranty claim, step by step
Step 1, Get in touch
Email hello@pizzabarlang.hu with the following information:
- order ID or invoice number;
- product name and serial number (on the back of the unit);
- description of the fault (as precise as possible);
- at least 2-3 photos or a short video of the fault;
- date of receipt.
Step 2, Initial assessment
Within 2 working days we'll let you know whether the fault is covered by warranty and recommend the appropriate procedure: on-site service, sending the product in, or remote support.
Step 3, Service
Service depends on the type of fault:
- On-site service for larger units (ovens) — a technician can be dispatched.
- Send-in service for smaller, mobile products (e.g. Pistino P5) — the product is sent to the service. Return shipping for warranty cases is at the Service Provider's cost.
- Remote help for software or operational issues — many problems can be solved by phone or video call.
Step 4, Resolution
Pursuant to Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.), repair or replacement is provided within an appropriate period, taking into account the product's properties and the consumer's reasonably expected use, and respecting the consumer's interests. If repair or replacement is impossible or would entail disproportionate cost, the consumer may request a proportionate price reduction or withdraw from the contract.

We work with the manufacturer's official partners across Hungary. Always start the service request through Pizza BARLANG customer service — not directly with the manufacturer — so we can coordinate the process quickly.

6. Conformity and product liability
In addition to warranty, you have conformity (kellékszavatosság) and product liability (termékszavatosság) rights under the Hungarian Civil Code (Ptk.).
Conformity (kellékszavatosság)
In case of defective performance, you may make a conformity claim against the Service Provider: request repair or replacement, or price reduction or withdrawal from the contract. The claim may be enforced within 2 years of performance. Within the first 1 year of performance there are no further conditions beyond notification of the defect; the burden is on the business to prove the defect arose after performance.
Product liability (termékszavatosság)
For defects of a movable item (product), at your choice you may also make a product liability claim, but only against the manufacturer (not the Service Provider). In this case the manufacturer is obliged to repair or replace the product. Product liability may be enforced within 2 years of the product being placed on the market.
7. Spare parts
For the products we distribute, we continuously source important spare parts even after the warranty period — so if the warranty has expired and you need to fund the repair yourself, you don't have to buy a new device.
Typically available parts: refractory pizza stone, heating element, door seal, control panel, motor components.
8. Recommended maintenance
To extend the products' life, we recommend:
- For ovens, let the refractory stone cool naturally after use — don't pour cold water on it, it can crack.
- Clean internal surfaces only with a damp cloth, after the oven has fully cooled.
- For the dough mixer, wash the bowl and spiral immediately after use; keep the motor's ventilation slots free of dust.
- Annual professional inspection is recommended for intensive use.
